Director of Oncology
Dr. Angie Malone completed her BSN at Berea College and obtained her MSN and DNP from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Malone is currently the Director of Cancer Services and Infusion at United Hospital Center-WVU Medicine in Bridgeport, WV. She is a Board-Certified Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist with more than 20 years experience in Oncology, Palliative Care and Vascular access.
Currently Dr. Malone also serves as faculty and teaches Evidence Based Practice courses at the University of Louisville School of Nursing DNP program part-time. Dr. Malone has presented on a myriad of topics in oncology, vascular access and evidence-based practice. She is also a white paper contributing author on vascular access care and maintenance for the Infusion Nursing Society, has published several oncology articles on various topics and is actively involved in research studies for both oncology nursing and patient care. She serves as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Infusion Nursing Society, The Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing and the Clinical Nurse Specialist: The Journal for Advanced Nursing Practice. She is active in various professional organizations including Oncology Nursing Society, The National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialist where she serves on multiple committees, serves as a mentor for the American Nurses Association Mentorship Program and the Infusion Nursing Society.
Dr. Malone seeks innovative ways to improve operations and experiences for the oncology patient during all phases of their treatment and thru survivorship. Dr. Malone’s number one goal is improving the patient experience, elevating nursing practice and ensuring that as an organization, we are providing the highest quality of care with compassion.
